The auditorium provides a dramatic setting for your wedding reception, class or family reunion, or corporate event. There are two elevators to the auditorium for easy access. The museum is conveniently located two blocks north of the courthouse in Downtown Franklin, with plenty of free parking in our adjoining lot and on the street.

Auditorium rental is $800 per day, and is available when there are no other events or exhibits in the space.

School and Group Tours

Our staff is happy to schedule guided tours for schools or any other groups who wish to visit the museum.

Please call 317-346-4500 to schedule your tour.

Tours can be arranged for any length of time; however, for most groups, 45 minutes to an hour is best if you wish to tour all the galleries and the log cabin.  Due to staff limitations, we cannot offer guided tours to unscheduled groups.

  Artifact Donations

The majority of our collection comes from generous donors just like you!

If you are interested in donating an item, it's always best to call ahead and make an appointment with the curator.

While we appreciate all the artifact offers that are presented to the museum; regrettably, we cannot accept every donation offer.  The museum has an official collection policy and a limited amount of storage space.

If you have any antique photographs of people, events, or places of Johnson County, we would love if you would allow us to scan them for our genealogy library collection. Please call 317-346-4500 for information.
